I thought it might be useful for us (the champions group) to have somewhere to chat - other than the 'post event feedback' forum in the 'unconference planing group - #chru4' group - which wasn't ever really a wide enough topic and certainly isn't going to be that relevant from now on!
Also that was a closed group and there seemed to be a demand for more transparency - hence this is an open group (we can always go back to those long email trails if we really need to keep anything between ourselves).

Doesn't time go fast! As well as starting to think about our next tweet-up, we probably need to start thinking about next year - our next unconference, and other things?Should we meet up, get…Continue

Comment by Jon Ingham on January 16, 2013 at 0:51 I've started a New Champions group here - http://connectinghr.org/group/new-champions-group.
For further discussion with those community members who want to be involved in it - and take action to support it.
Comment by Jon Ingham on November 1, 2012 at 22:19 Champions - as per my last email I've started a conversation in the Future of ConnectingHR group about where I think we could take this - it'd be good to have your views too.

Comment by Jon Ingham on May 27, 2012 at 21:29 A few things to share with the champions group / community:
As you'll hopefully have seen, we're currently looking at having our next tweet-up at the Spring after Doug's next Stop Doing Dumb Things unconference on 27th June. We need to work out finances with Doug (50% each to CHR and SDDT?) but given this will presumably be a Tesco delivery it shouldn't have too much impact on our finances.
Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to do this date personally - I'd given it away while it looked as if we were going to be delaying the tweet-up into July. I'm sure (hope) that Gareth will be OK once again to do the organisation of this (assuming he is still available) but do any of the other champions want to take this on?
We've then got the opportunity to run another tweet-up back at the Square Pig in September (we'd planned in the 20th or maybe 19th if people do prefer a Wednesday?).
And we then have a meeting of this group to organise. I do take Flora's point (from the #chru4 discussions) that we can do most of our planning via skype or something (perhaps google plus?) - and also hopefully in this group - but it would be great to get together too?
Would we be able to use on of the other dates we were considering for the tweet-up ie 18th or 25th July?
The last date is the one for the unconference next year - perhaps we can leave this till the champions planning meeting?
Comment by MervynDinnen on May 27, 2012 at 21:14 Thanks for setting up Jon. I go away on a week's holiday first thing in the morning so won't be updating until after the bank holiday.
Below are links to some of our champions' own blogs. Check them out!
