In the same way that ConnectingHR is inclusive of all disciplines across HR, the title of this group is also inclusive of all disciplines across HR. The purpose of this group is to offer help in some way to organisations that do not have the benefit of a full HR function, who require advice/help/support in some respect. The idea is to be able to step in, use our expertise as appropriate, and let them carry on. Importantly this is not for commercial gain, but as a group of professionals we have knowledge that can be used to benefit others, and so we should.
If you want to be involved, look out for updates on which organisations people have come into contact with, and what their requirements are. There's no structures around this, so we're relying on common sense to guide as as best we can.
My feeling is, if you want to get involved directly and offer what help you think you can, please keep it open and transparent so we don't start overloading respective organisations with offers of help that they then have to manage. If we can let each other know what we're intending on doing for them, it helps inform the rest of us about how we choose to get involved.
